And leave it as is instead of turning it into paved road.
 
Used to be one of my favorite motorcycle rides. Thought it was dumb that the rock slide had nothing to do with the fire but they used that as an excuse not to repair it. The burn scar should be nearly stabilized at this point.

I really wish they would quit screwing with backroads.
 
If ADOT does forfeit the road to "other entities," wouldn't it fall to the Tonto National Forest? Maybe they would take up the maintenance.
 
My grandfather used to haul freight on a mule train up that road bring supply’s to the dam construction crews. Hopefully we can keep it open.

I don't know how many times I zipped up & down Fish Creek Hill in my first car... A '59 VW Baja...

Baja Bugs are awesome. I've had more than one. Love running the desert in them, a Lot nicer ride than my XJ.

Yessir... I wish I had never sold mine...
I later went on to build my own sand rail w/ an 1835cc balanced dual port engine... That thing was wicked fast...
