Georgia Runoffs

I may be optimistic or .. maybe I am just stupid but .. I think "woke" has a finite period.

I was young but I remember the hippies. My grandmother worked from nothing to owning her own business after coming here and not speaking English very well thought they were the silliest thing she could ever see. Would pile the Grandkids into the Mercedes for a trip to Manhattan to see "the Hippies"

Straight up honest .. and we would look out the window like in one of those safari parks and point them out in groups as we drove around Manhattan.

Yea .. a bunch of their ideology is what created the NEW dems but they also ushered in the yuppies.

Politics and most of life is like that carnival ride that swings back and forth. Think its called the pirate but it probably goes by a bunch of names. The more violently it swings in one direction the harder it swings in the other direction. Years of wimpy dem government in NYC ushered in Giuliani and the city almost over night was transformed.

When I was a teen the murder rate was around 2500 now they flip out if it hits 300.

The yuppies ... for whatever anyone thinks of them were greedy, gonna get mine and turned their back on most of the hippies and their socialist mantra that came before. They were capitalist of the highest order.

I think the "woke" is going to kill itself. "I" believe that most people are somewhere in the middle skewing right or left but somewhere in the middle. The woke crowd is just the noisiest.

My only fear .. that the swing back to try and return normalcy might not be pretty. What are people willing to give up, what civil liberties will they yield to feel safe and "normal" again.

Obviously .. all just an old guys conjecture.

I agree with just about everything you posted except

No, they played their voters as stupid. They knew the Democrats were going to pull this.

Unless I missed something and I have been trying to read less news .. this was getting signed and everyone was doing a circle jerk with the $600 stimulus. Dem and Repub were patting themselves so hard arms were sore. They wanted to go off to vacation and not rock the boat. There was no belly aching and no mention of $2000.

It wasn't until Trumps fukin tweet ... then we lost Georgia. As a matter of fact .. news reports were that we had Georgia in the bag after the house gains.

I have no love of politicians and wish to god there would be term limits. I am not a fan of Trump the man but was very happy that the administration was doing things I thought needed doing and if it meant that he was the figure head so be it.

I think it could have done even more if he didn't keep shooting off his mouth and someone took the twitter away but .. stuff happens and life goes on.

The US has had 12 major wars, 48 presidents and 4 presidential assassinations. In all we seem to keep motoring on ...

I am pretty sure Mitch and Nancy were there through all of it starting pre revolution :(

He is going to be spending a lot of money on court as Im pretty sure his not just a few enemies are about to start their post term prosecutions. If you believe in deep state stuff there will likely be a purge of blue purging red. Interesting times ahead. Personally think they will use the Nixon era " we have to heal now as a nation" and just give a pass. Perhaps.

I have no doubt that we DID win GA, but there was no way that the Dems were going to let that happen, so much like the general election, votes were either not counted, or fabricated to hit their agenda.

Democrats had Georgia before the votes were even counted. They just repeated on a small scale what they did in the presidential election. We had the presidential in the bag till everyone went to sleep.....

While still true, the true death of the republic was when the democrats figured out they could dilute the electorate by importing voters.

Agreed. I'm not entirely sure why people, who did not vote in the initial balloting in Nov, were allowed to register to vote and cast a ballot for this run-off. If you had no interest in voting the first time, you don't get a mulligan, IMO. I'm sure there were tens of thousands of registered voters who did not cast a vote in Nov...these are the people the candidates needed to focus on turning out for the run-off, not newly minted voters who were lured by the promise of another round of $2K .gov checks.

Even if the Senate races in Georgia were stollen, it shouldn't have been so easy. Thousands of November Trump voters decided to stay home in what might turn out to be an even more important election. At least make the Democrats work harder at the voter fraud. Don't just hand it to them.

True, many did stay home. Purdue felt the pinch in the counties outside of DeKalb, Cobb and Fulton, where he got less votes on January 5th than he did on November 3rd. As Boriqua stated, "It wasn't until Trumps fukin tweet ... then we lost Georgia. As a matter of fact .. news reports were that we had Georgia in the bag after the house gains." Great part of the blame is on The Donald. He let his ego get in the way and instead of helping his supporters, he thru us under the bus.
