Fun little side project..

Started this today.. was looking at all the barrel drops next to the lathe, found a bunch of old Olympic AR15 45 ACP barrel drops when I was cutting down 16" barrels to 5" for suppressors. So far, I only have the barrel threaded for an extension, now just have to verify bolt gap and torque the extension on, ream the chamber and set headspace. I have a 5.56 bolt that I opened up to 45ACP dimensions years ago for another project that died. I also have one of the Bear Creek Arsenal bolt action uppers coming and should be here end of the week for another project. I am hoping a CMMG 45 lower will work with this upper. I am also thinking about making an integral style, reflex style or just a end of muzzle suppressor for it, then tuck it under the handguard.

Your idea to make a .45acp bolt-action intrigues me. Please keep us updated on that. If it works, let us know what you'd charge to create another one.

Got the chamber cut, chamfered, and polished. Cut the feed ramp on an old f'ed up extension (someone took a dremel to the feed ramps) and torqued to the barrel.
