Apparently Baltimore was the primary port for import automobiles. While other ports will attempt to pick up the slack, it will be expensive, resulting in higher prices on imports in particular.
"$23 billion of the port’s total $55.2 billion of imports in 2023 were autos and light trucks. Around $4.8 billion of the port’s exports were motor vehicles.
“As Baltimore is less container-centric primarily a roll-on/roll-off port, this disruption should create possible flatbed and auto volumes out of other ports on the East Coast,”
I heard from my cousin's friend's great uncle's next door neighbor that that cargo ship was full of 22lr and reloading powder and primers...better all run out and stock up while you can!
