"What's really more annoying is the I saw it was delivered 5 seconds ago can I come get it calls. Just don't ever be that customer."
My FFL had a customer follow tracking and show up without calling. He was at work and the guy wanted his wife to give it to him since he drove all the way over there.

Yeah I've had a few of those. I've had a customer wait outside once and try to get it directly from the UPS driver. Was a new one to my area and I caught him before he handed it over thanks to our dogs barking. I've usually got my wife home and she's fully capable of doing stuff or if we're both out ill have my apprentice there doing prep work. It's insane the s*** you end up seeing as a home based dealer. Speaking of that last week I had a woman call every hour on the hour until her delivery came that day. Then she failed the background check.

What happens with the gun when the nics denial is a transfer?

Coming from the other side....using my FFL to order without my permission and calling after the fact was considered rude.

Companies routinely just list FFL’s in an area because that will make a sale for them. I lost count of the number of times items arrived with NO info on who the order was for... including SOT items. Having to spend hours on the phone tracking mystery buyers was not worth it. Even had guys still ordering stuff after getting out of the business.

So ... from the other side of the fence.... ask first.... don’t be a Richard🤣

I've never gotten mad. I just feel bad when a customer orders something I could have saved them money and then they order from like Guns.com and pay MSRP. You can be safe and ask but if a dealer gets mad for the bare minimum expectation of owning an FFL then don't give them your money. I get stuff in all the time that I've gotta track down because I get nothing. PSA has been notorious for it lately. The worse is dealers that send you stuff you've never used before even. They just send it blind. Least grabagun.com or buds has you send in your info and it's automatically done at that point but I've gotten orders from online sales from middle of nowhere stores out of the blue with just a 3x5 with a phone number on it. That's not the customers fault though.

As for denials depends. These people I just paid them for the gun and told em to go away. I've got a gun here for a kid with all kinds of charges on his record who thinks he's gonna get an appeal for his denial. At some point I'll need the space and I'll give him money for it because I've seen his criminal record no appeal is coming.

Wow. That's some crazy stuff.

Shout out to Stronghad.

I decided to use his FFL services. Ordered my stuff. He called me same day it arrived (today) and I went and picked it up lickity split.

He seems like a cool dude and very reasonable FFL prices.

When ordering an FFL item online and choosing an FFL to ship to, is it best to notify the FFL before ordering or is it okay to just order then go talk to them. I've never ordered an FFL item online before, so...

I always give mine a heads up in case he's out of town or something..
