As many of you are aware, I am selling the majority of my gun collection prior to retirement.
( "Retirement Sale") in classifieds.

While I've had success selling locally, I'd like to post a few on Gunbroker.

Now, I've done this before, but having the buyer foot the bill for $70.00-$120.00 for shipping a handgun can be pretty difficult, especially on a lower priced gun.

I've already approached the local FFL that I've been doing business with for years, SNG Tactical. They have treated me fantastic, and I have no complaints. They've agreed to ship guns for me, but have quoted me really high prices in addition to the (very reasonable) $20.00 fee.

Are there any FFLs in the Tucson area that would be willing to ship handguns for me, and pass along lower shipping costs (in addition to the fee, of course) ?

I'm also interested in possibly selling a few guns on consignment, if possible.

I also tried Shipmygun but had some trouble navigating the site, and they won't answer my emails.

Thanks!
Brian

Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of the sale. I no longer have access to the classifieds and have been relegated to brand new member status here despite being registered on this site, and the previous Arizonashooting site for a number of years. If many others weren't in the same boat and unable to access the classifieds like they used to, your collection would probably all be sold locally to members without having to worry about shipping them.

My listings are duplicated on all three forums that I am aware of. As well as Armslist. Here is the cut and paste version I send folks from Armslist when they inquire about other sales. I hope this doesn't violate any forum rules!

you don't need a dealer to ship to another FFL. UPS store will not accept handgun parts, but fedex will ship. You need to contact the FFL of the buyer, and arrange with them to ship it to them insured with signature delivery. I had to include a photocopy of my driver's license my contact information and the buyers name and phone number. I just shipped an ar lower to a police officer in Colorado. but call the FFL first because the first FFL wasn't accepting transfers because they were so busy.

I know, I know. I've been selling guns for 28 years. No offence intended, but my problem is THE COST of shipping. My FFL quoted me $175.00 plus their fee to ship a handgun to Philadelphia.

I think I can do better!!! (I HOPE!)

BY THE WAY

I take requests. Still a bunch-o guns left.

Problem is, I love them all. Some guy said he was interested in something, said he was going to refinish it, and I refused to sell it to him. If you are going to rape my gun after you buy it from me, don't tell me about it. :angry-devil:

Thanks. I didn't even know about those sites.

Maybe your FFL is not aware he can use a USPS flat rate box. Normally costs me around $45 to ship a handgun insured/signature required through my FFL this way including his transfer fee ($15).

Reading between the lines here. My FFl used to be in a little hole in the wall ,and they treated me like royalty. Now they've expanded into a huge new shop, and things are a little different. They have a lot more customers and a $20.00 transfer fee or a $20.00 shipping fee are small potatoes. Not worth the effort, or at least that is my impression.

$175.00 + fees ??
Are these guys fukinc nuts?

USPS Priority by a dealer runs $15.00-18.00 & $25.00 - $28.00 w/ins
Use a USPS Priority Regional Box A which goes ANYWHERE in the USA as long as its under 15 pounds
It is cheaper than medium or large priority

Talk to a new dealer prior but you can have it all ready to go (left open so they can verify everything) then tape pre-paid shipping label on and done
They do no real packing & shipping (no extra wasted time) which should save you money

Yes, they can still make some coin by way of a handling & paperwork fee, which they should, but $175.00? - I'd shiite on their floor then leave and never return
