Doesn't surprise me. Quite a few of my non gun owning neighbors have asked me about where to buy a gun.

It is a good opportunity for everyone to keep an eye out for new gun owners that we can welcome to the hobby. If you are comfortable with it, offer to take them shooting and show them the basics with their new purchase. Also, consider telling them about GOA, FPC or NSSF, etc. so they know that there are ways to get involved in protecting our rights. It is amazing how many folks at work that were "anti-gun" a few years ago have gotten really interested over the past year.
