Favorite Eye Protection for Competetive Shooting?

Ordered a pair on Amazon and didn't like the way they fit. Figured I'd check with you guys.

Before I started having to wear glasses I wore polarized Oakleys. They really made the green fiber optic front sight “pop”.

I like ESS. The fit is comfortable, the earpieces are comfortable under muffs, but I also have a persona preference. My eyes react much better to vermilion colored lenses. For me, the yellow is way too bright on sunny days, and the dark brown or grey doesn't work well at dusk and dawn. The vermilion works great for me but most shooting glasses don't offer that color, ESS does.

They are more comfortable than any other "cheap" safety glasses I've found, they are ANSI Z87.1+ rated, and I've never found them to be anything but clear (no distortion / haze / etc.). They are $20 for a pack of 3 so when I lose them (as I always do - including the one pair of expensive Oakley shooting glasses I bought years ago) I shed few tears... I usually lose them before they get too beat up - but if they get scratched up I simply toss them and pull the spare new ones out of the range bag. If someone needs to borrow a pair - and I fail to get them back - it's $6.50 or so lost, not $150. If I pulled the last new pair from the bag, then I stop on the way home and buy another 3 pack.

Inside, whatever brand the shop bought last. Think it was LAW MCRs.

Lately, I've just been wearing these non-tinted glasses from Howard Leight. They've been very comfortable for me.

I bought a bunch of swiss "surplus military" sunglasses for 16 bucks a pair. The lens tinting I really like and optically they (at least to my eyes) are better than most "shooting" glasses I have bought that weren't super pricey.

How durable they are in a firearms kaboom I dunno, but other than that I like these quite a bit.

The Rydon are the newer style from my 20+ year old ones, mine are discontinued but still going strong, you get different colors for different light.

I had a pair of Rudy Project save my eyes from splatter one night at a USPSA match (tough frekin glasses, ripped them almost off my head, me and a lot of guys had blood spots all over) called rudy to get replacement lenses explained what happened. Rudy ask me to send in the glasses and they sent me a whole new set. They used to sponsor USPSA also.

Another vote for Oakley, especially the Prizm lens for running red dot sights.

Same, I have my prescription polarized oakleys I wear on the daily including any outdoor range time.

Indoor its whatever cheap safety glasses Ive got on hand. I do want to find some I can use my script on as indoor range stuff sucks with my vision.

My overall favorite for style, coverage, and protection is the Wiley X Saber.
It covers more angles and exceeds the military MIL-RF-31013 standards for impact resistance, UV protection, and optical clarity.
Nosepiece is pretty comfortable and adjustable while the frame is normal thickness. It didn’t smush into my head when wearing electronic earmuffs.
Also light…but not the cheap kind of light.
