It’s been really tough on ICE.
Basically stripped of arrest authority unless permission has been granted by the higher ups.
Case by case basis, and request must be in writing with very few exceptions.
Even the old days of hitting the jails and prisons to determine alienage and place holds has been pretty much shut down.
