Drop in triggers

Just standard mil spec it's more than fine for me. Learning marginal triggers makes everything else easy peasy.

I'm not brand loyal, but there are a lot of good drop in options out there. Anything adjustable is a plus. I like to dial out most of the take-up and then set the trigger pull to somewhere between 3.5-4 lbs.

I have used Timney, POF, Geissle and a few others in AR's i find they all for the most part do there job of improving the trigger over a run of the mil DPMS Parts kit trigger. But i can shoot an AR just fine with a mil-spec trigger for the way i use it. But i am not a trigger snob nor a competitor. I tend to look for the best price on the drop in triggers which is probably not the best idea. But so far the POF triggers that were on sale a while back has been just about as good as the Timney that cost almost 100.00 more. I have used Rock River 2 stage triggers (Not Really drop in) as well and really did not feel they were enough better than a Mil-spec to justify the cost for how i use an AR. For a service rifle competitor the Rock River used to be the standard but i am sure that has changed with all the options out there.

I have POF triggers in all my AR's. They are a great trigger and can be found on sale at a very reasonable price.

Elf and you are supporting local Arizona. Top-end uses roller bearings and it's amazing
I use a Geissele in my B&T since the Elf wasn't specific.

LaRue MBT-1S is very popular for about $80. I'd start there before spending more unless you know what you want.
This is one of the best bang for a buck.

That's pretty much where I am. After growing up on milsurp rifles and then my time in the Army I got to where I could use a marginal trigger very well.

That lesson was reinforced when I took the Mauser action .30-06 I bought when I was 16 and dumped the military trigger and installed a Timney. The groups stayed exactly the same, around 1-3/4" 5 shot 100 yard groups.

I’ve shot a bunch of drop in triggers for AR’s and I haven’t found one that really is any better than the others. I personally have CMC triggers in a few of my rifles for the simple fact I can pick them up for a reasonable price. I find that I really enjoy shooting a rifle with a trigger that is around 3-3.5lbs. For some reason that is a sweet spot for me so no matter what trigger I choose I tend to stick with something around that weight. If you can you should go shoot some rifles with a few triggers and find some things you like and dislike and make a decision based on that.

In 3 of the five build I went with Velocity 3 lb. There made here in Phx. The owner used to work for Timney. Basically the same trigger but cost less. I like to support local businesses.

Does anyone have any experience with JMT Saber drop in trigger for an AR? Outdoor Sports has it on sale and I'm looking to pull the trigger.

Where do you find them online or locally?

I have the Geissele SSA-E in almost all my AR's except my 2 POF's and my
LaRue Predator OBR which has an AR Gold trigger.
