have you talked to Gas Cans lately?

he has a pretty fancy schmancy one and knows alot about them

I have 2, both current generation DJI. One is a standard daytime camera that takes incredible pictures and video. The other is a duel enterprise advanced, which means it has a daytime camera and a thermal camera. I got that one primarily for hog hunting in the south but it’s handy when looking for our dogs or coyotes on the property. The daytime camera doesn’t have quite the resolution of my other drone but it’s still very good. The thermal is top of the line. The drones are easy to fly, and the controllers allow you to program a flight path that the drone will fly automatically. There are numerous forums with lots of information on them.

Don't know exactly what you want to know? Are you interested in getting one your self? DJI is by far the best but with questionable ties to the Chinese government. Autel is probably second place with slightly less Chinese involvement, (still manufactured there but most of the design is in North America).

If you get a drone that weights less than 250 grams it can avoid registration in the US if used for non business purposes. If you travel outside of the US the 250 gram threshold will also allow you to fly in many other countries.

DJI makes their Mini line which falls under the 250 gram limit, they record phenomenal video and still images. The camera is gimbled so no mater how the drone pitches and roles the imagery is perfectly stable like a tripod in the sky. It also live feeds a video to your phone when connected to the controller that you can use as a view finder to see what the camera sees as well as other pertinent flight information. They are very easy to fly and have GPS stabilization and return to home. If you stop moving the control's it will stay parked in place fighting the wind to stay there. If the battery runs low or looses connection to the controller it will fly back to where it took off from. I have the first generation Mini, and the second generation Mini 2. They are now on to their 3rd generation Mini 3. I have a small pelican type box that the whole thing fits into, about the size of a small kids lunchbox and is very easy to take on trips.

I have a DJI mini 2. I was just flying it on Saturday up by Payson checking out some Indian ruins. Your welcome to check it out if you want. I’m in the area of 7th ave and Glendale.

So what is the average flight time for drones nowadays? Curious how long you'd actually have time to shoot video before you'd need to recharge it.

I can get around 20 minutes of flight if I fly easy. The sport mode drops it to around 12-14 minutes.

Have a mini 2 with goggles, once you fly with them you’ll never plug your phone into the controller ever again
