I agree with what you are saying, his intent wasn't to kill him for sure, but you can be struggling to breathe by being smashed.

He will be in protective custody...but he has 8 weeks until the sentencing phase. Mad Maxine gave plenty of runway for an appeal, but that was going to happen anyways. I don't think it would have been possible for Chauvin to receive a truly fair trial...the jury members were always going to be tainted.

Also who's to say that they don't just issue a guilty verdict and then just give him a new identity and send him somewhere else to live just to quell the troglodyte mob?
