It was in daily mail which is an international news source. It just didn't get long legs because the death and dismemberment toll isn't living up the new news criteria. Two dead is now an average homicide and not as blisteringly news worthy. Had to up his game if he wanted more notoriety. His victims were also somewhat random so you didnt have a group screaming woe is me.
