So Bill De Blah-sio wants to eliminate all school programs designed to reward "gifted" students.

"A panel appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio has proposed eliminating all gifted academic programs in New York City because they contain mostly White and Asian students."

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...iminate-all-gifted-programs-in-new-york-city/

So instead of raising the bar and creating a high standard for New York students to reach for ... Bill De Bozo thinks it's better to drag the gifted students down to the level of the average students and/or the imbeciles whose aspirations are that of a snail or three-toed sloth.

Dumbing down America's smartest class of students ensures we can continue to import workers to fill our tech jobs which further shrinks the pesky Middle Class and appeases the left's voter base who are glad to see the Whites/Asians dropped down a couple rungs on the success ladder.

Speaking as someone who was in those programs for years, this is a good way to drive away the smarter students.

Not to mention driving intelligent minds to extreme boredom and acting out searching for something to occupy their minds. And destroying their promise and future contributions to society.

In other news de blasio makes democratic mayors of new your before Rudy look like political superstars who didnt nearly run the city into the ground.

Phucktard cant take a hint either. Weiner has a better chance of becoming president than him.

Great observation and the extreme boredom and acting out was the definition of me until I ran across a very bright teacher named Mrs. Knight, a science teacher. She decided I was simply bored and gave me a challenge which I accepted. As a result of that, I was the only one in the advanced classes who had a GPA of around B-

That changed to an A when I was in the classes though, and I became a model student.

Ya, when the project potential programs were canceled in my districts it only took a couple years for my brother to devolve into a drug addicted delinquent.

Thankfully we were able to pull him out of the mess and he changed his addiction to work and school. Masters degree and high paying job for one of the big credit card companies.

The kid threw away a good 5 years where his intelligence and athletic gifts could have seriously paid dividends.

This is the same mindset that awards participation trophies to everyone.

I think the message might be worse. The participation awards ruined a couple of generations .. trust me I hired and fired people and whew .. things changed.

but at least I thought the messaging was "everyone is special in their own special way"
Ok cool but you were still awarded for not being as good or trying as hard.

But this message is weird ..

It says "NO ONE is special"

Hmmm .. I probably wont be around to see how the new social experiment plays out in the next generation or two but ... quite the odd message.

Maybe his kids couldnt get in and he is upset at the system. :violin:

I'd almost bet the house that HE couldn't get in and still harbors a grudge about it.
