RJ,

This is what you seek. It uses a capacitor not a battery. That is critical in this heat. Also run their polarizing filter.

I've been pretty happy with my cheap Aukey.

It is generally more helpful if you provide a link. Is this the one???

As it turns out, my recommendation is even more worthless then you called me out for because the Aukey is now discontinued.

I have been using the Dual Dash Cam, Z-Edge Z3D, it is a dual camera wired product that costs a little over $100.

i'm on the look out for a front and rear cameras for a truck with a camper top on it, anyone have one and hows it working
thanks

I have the VIOFO 129 Plus Duo GPS which is currently selling for 169.99 Amazon and 149.90 Adorama on two of my vehicles. Its 2k in stead of 4k and works for my needs. Hardwire kit to the truck and car so no exposed wires and I can set to film in park mode....extra security around the house if gone. It has a really long cable for the rear cam and I had to store a bunch in the hidden interior trim. You can always get extended cable. Wifi so I can view on my phone w/o pulling the SD card and remotely take snaps. I like how it sits snug out of the way and does not interfere with any view. Putting one in the daughters car this weekend.

Truck and car. The front is just behind my mirror wires down from headliner 5" exposed allowing me to disconnect from cam when needed. Wires ran down side post into the console. Rear stick on drops out of rear headliner with maybe 3" exposed. Both cams swivel so you can adjust for vertical or more horizontial mounting. The 3M tape works well if you clean area well with alcohol and they included extra. Have had my front windshield swapped out 3 times(AZ stones) and remounted the cam without any issues.
