Custom AR ?

I can see your point. Home built is probably a better term but I am not sure it matters much. I have a robar built gun and one I built I consider them the same. Unless it’s factory value is going to be nonexistent with the ar15s unless parted out.

You got your factory production line guns and those "customs". It is not a factory gun.

Hmmm This is a very good question... Assembling a bunch of factory parts is not a custom build I would be proud of but, I can see why people might want to say this. For me it should at least include a lot of quality hand fitting and perfecting of the sum of all the parts. Like blue printing and truing upper, lower and barrel to get a sub MOA gun or designing and making some of the main parts would be even better.

Ammo A-Z has some very unique "custom" stuff. The Proteus is going to be the big seller, but they do all sorts of oddball laser jobs and dress them in different colors and themes.
