Airline travelers will volunteer for it if it speeds them through check in.
They will demand it for everyone else on the plane to guarantee their safety.
Just like the people going crazy about someone not wearing a mask, they will demand you prove that you are not infected. The majority will be a mob against you because you will be jeopardizing their status of "virus free".
More than half the country will be clamoring for this before the end of the year.

Getting involved can mean many many things. You don't have to show up at a protest or rally to get involved, sometimes one on one works.
