I’m assuming we all know the color code.
But are we doing it wrong?, have we warped it from it’s original intent?
I’m starting a new book, recommended elsewhere in this forum, I refreshed myself on exactly what each step in the color code is.
I came across this article, that says that isn't the original intent.
Is this a widespread theory?
What do you guys think?

Its color codes of awareness what the confusion.
White. is you are obviously to your
surroundings
Yellow. Something has caught your
attention that something might
be out of place.
Orange. The thing that seemed out of
place has now caused a
potential problem.
Red. Game on . Now it's time to act.

So what's the question

I know what Cooper says is is, I'm asking the OP what other definition he has heard.

You might want to study the OODA loop. It is essentially what Cooper was trying to teach with his color code.

I'm not necessarily a Rob Pincus fan but this is a decent explanation from a self defense view:

I suspect you intended to include a link, but forgot.
Please share the link with us.

Been onto the OODA loop for a long, long time. It's worth studying.

Awwwwww crap, yes I did, here it is....

Look OODA is addressing moving from a defensive position to a offensive position
Coopers codes are observations which is the first O in OODA.

The legendary 500 yard radar, as told by a tactical god... or maybe he just played too many first person shooter games, was identifying and tracking every target within 500 yard so you can engage hostile targets as far out as possible. Made even more rediclious by the over the top claims ego and attitude of the trollish video game type claims of tactical prowess of the poster.

Or was it 500 ft? Either way the over the top "I'm a tactical god" stench permeated every post like a dead skunk under your bed would.

Did I remember the scheme and poster correctly?

What's that smell?

What's that have to do with coopers color codes. Let's try to keep this on track and not start going off the tracks.

I guess you haven't been on the Arizona boards very long. It's legendary.
Just this Arizona board since 2011ish

This board didn't exist in 2011. It just came to be a year or so ago. You might be thinking of Arizonashooting.com which may still be in existence. That's where the legend started, though.

Yeah same difference, I’m not splitting hairs with that word game. You’ve been around long enough to know what I mean.
