Adding a 4th caliber to my reloading repertoire. Delving into 300 Blackout since it's so hard to find just about any caliber.

Well, I got the dies (Hornady going into my Dillon press as Dillon is on back order into 2021) and quick change from Dillon.

Turns out none of my powders are good for 300BK, but I know I see it from time to time, so I'm not too worried. I can get projectiles pretty easy and cases if I don't make my own from 223 cases I have.

Primers are the tough one. Anyone see any place in particular that gets them more regularly than others? Whether online or in store?

might find a smathering of primers here and there, i and a few others have some standing orders in with several vendors for a large count, lol, we can't even get a 5k sleeve. Again, heard brunos had some a while back, good luck, lotsa components can be had, but pricey, and well primers, until the ammo guys catch up, us lowly citizens will be hard pressed to "get some"

I think we re S.O.L. in regards to primers. Panic buying started months ago, hasn't let up and is only getting worse.
So hard to believe that after all these months the supply hasn't caught back up.

while not components but build parts a note from RRA

dealer prices will go up accordingly on nov 15th

upper halves: 35.00
lower halves ; 35.0
complete rifles; 60.00
part and access: 10 -25%

that is all

Just got 2K .452 230 grain rn delivered yesterday and 2K .223 55 grain coming in early next week.

You can get anything... For a price.

I just watched a Gunbroker auction end that made my jaw drop. 5000 CCI #41 primers for $1150! That's the highest I've seen them go for yet.

I saw 1K of Small pistol for $250.00 on Gunbroker a few days ago. It's nuts.

The 1k I got yesterday was more than it should be, but not near that. I paid $50...not happy about it, but considering...I'll take it.

If that's what they're going for now, I wonder what they'll be selling for in a year?

I've been away from shooting to damn long. I can't believe my eyes at these prices, should have learned a lesson from others and started years ago.
I consider myself new as I only have 5 different calibers , one of each and i can't get any 223/5.56 anywhere.
reloading seems to be my only course to get what i need and want.
From my searches and as i am reading here primers are next to impossible to get.
I will also have a lot to learn so I will be hitting you guys up for pointers (don't want any malfunctions here) still have all my digits and prefer to keep it that way.
if anyone can help a new guy out with some direction i would greatly appreciate your help.

What area do you live in? Someone who could drop by if needed is very helpful.

Depends on how Uncle Joe plays things out. Same with Covid and the riots. If things normalize in general, could be a big nothingburger, but if the Dems even so much as twitch a finger towards increased regulations, we may be in for a rough few years.

Yes there's definitely that.

I was speculating more on the basis that the vast majority of primer production is being allocated towards the ammo manufacturers, and those manufacturers being behind by a full year. If they continue to be as scarce as they are for that long of a period, people are really going to get desperate.

Does that mean I'll have the range to myself?
