every few months i go thru a couple of the safes, and well, i save myself a gaggle of $$$ as it seems i had already purchased the new shiney i was intending to buy next. go figure, then i celebrate, and change the new shiney on top of list, and wait a month or two and go thru some other safes, hehehe, self entertainment is great

I was always finding ammo stashed away in different hiding spots in my closet and garage. If the wife needed something from Walmart, I'd offer to go but stopping first in the sporting goods section of course. I'd buy some boxes and go get the stuff I was there to get in the first place. I'd come home and stash it before walking in to the rest of the house with only the requested items in my hand. Months would pass by and I'll be rummaging in my closet and find 250 rd boxes of 9mm and 200 rd boxes of 223. It's like Easter for me all year long. A couple months ago, I found a box of pmags still in their sealed bags. That's what happens when I'm bored on a weekend, I raid the liquor cabinet, and go online.

Glad I’m not the only one that does this! I typically hate going to Walmart and usually justify the torture but buying ammo

do to the virus I pulled all my handguns out the other day. 51 was the total. I remembered them all but was surprised it was that many.

Reminds me of a recent conversation I had with my wife:

"How many guitars do you have now?"
"I really don't know, I never counted them. How many shoes do you have now?"

End of conversation.

I've been cleaning the garage and finding new tools I don't remember buying. Just found 3 ZV2008 mags I didn't know I had.

I’ve got a bad habit of buying magazines for guns I don’t have. Sometimes it’s too good a deal to let go...

The best things about Alzheimers are:
1) Meeting new people everyday.
2) Going new places everyday.
3) Finding new guns evreyday.
4) Meeting new people everyday.

Not Me,...I remember every item in my reload/gun room,... the moment I stumble across them!

:confusion-confused:

When we were young we wouldn't forget about all this neat stuff. Now it's a surprise every time I do some cleaning. I found 2 boxes of holsters last night. I knew I had some but TWO BOXES!!! LOL! Also more magazines than I realized. No forgotten guns though, I guess that means I better keep digging.

When we were young we didn't make the money we make later in life. That's why the older we get the more safes we buy

Yep. I'm selling off a bunch of stuff. Sold 24 poynds of powder. Got guns on consignment. Selling off ammo also. Dillon presses next.

not a safe find, but i did find a $100 bill in my bird hunting jacket i hadn't worn for two years.

Yesterday I finally found a gun I knew I had somewhere, but couldn't find it for several months... it was in a guncase stuck away in a container...
2 or 3 other times I found about 5 grand I had stashed and forgot I had....
