This kvetching about "being a member on the old board" nonsense is just asking for a free pass without trying to seem like a chump. I've been on every iteration of this board since it was a slow-ass BBS 20 years ago, ya didn't see me crying about classifieds access when the newest page started. Participate or kick rocks, pretty simple concept

Posters like you are what's preventing good conversations from happening in forums. Not all people are comfortable posting as much as you do. No need to insult and call names just to get your point across.

I think that what you are saying is exactly the opposite. He is re-iterating the need to participate in other forums than just the classifieds.

I too have been on the board(s) both old and new through many changes for close to 20 yrs. It is fair to say that we DO NOT want this to be BackPage lite, and one way to facilitate that is to have members contribute their knowledge and opinions in the various forums. This is a free site and it is not too much to ask that people share firearm tips or advice to gain admission to the sales forums.

Don't like it, find another site or start your own, plain and simple.

How is it opposite? I expressed an opinion so I can participate and keep the thread going, which is the goal of the program, and then you'll see people call you pussy or tell you just leave. And Im not even trying to change the rules :lol:

The thing that sucks I think about the classifieds working as they do now is that it seems to me that it dramatically reduces the potential customer base for someone trying to sell something. It be what it be though.

The intent was to weed out those who only came here to buy or sell something and get people to participate in the other discussions and forums.

Sure it sucks if you only came here to buy or sell things, but that is not the overall purpose of this site.
