classifieds

Once you've been here a bit, and participated in board conversation, you will be granted access.

Please let me take this opportunity to pre-shit in your ad since “crapping” in ads is verboten. The classifieds here are generally pretty well managed with guys who don’t ask stupid prices for stuff. If you’re going to ask for crazy amounts you’ll have better luck on Armslist. Most here aren’t going to pay panic prices and asking will probably be a waste of your time.

I have no idea if that’s the case, so please don’t get offended. Generally a good bunch of people. I’ve gotten to know a few and consider them to be good to deal with. Hopefully you will too.

if this is the same site i think it is i have been a member for a long time.....it had been so long since i'd been here i forgot my user name....

Yeah it's not exactly transparent
There's a thread about it.
There's an algorithm that allows access to members who contribute/participate.
Weeds out the ex-backpagers if you ask me, and I like it.

Yeah I was on the old site for 6-8 years. Had a great time in there. Back to the grind of getting vetted.

Indeed, I used the old site from about 2009, but didn't live on the site - maybe 100 -200 posts. Now I visit at about the same rate but apparently that's not good enough.

Glad to be on the new site, was bummed when arizonashooting.com ceased to exist however great to have a local forum. I did numerous purchases and trades on arizonashooting.com over nearly a decade....

It seems to me that this site’s algorithms for ‘vetting’ new users is rather excessive to the point that I am about to give up and seek other sites/forums to exchange.

I have a massive inventory of some impressive pieces of HW and I love trading/exchanging to try out different options. Sad to see that this is not the same as arizonashooting.com...

Perhaps a moot point that the Dems may take control.... may need to go underground for the time being to weather the storm. :ugeek:

The 'vetting' process for classified access in NOT excessive, but participation on the forum is a requirement. Seven posts in over a year is hardly participation, so it's understandable why you don't have access at this point. If you post every couple of days, you'll have it in no time.

I hope you stick with it.

This is the same owner that started the original forum. It takes time and good people to grow. While someone else taken ownership on the last forum, it was not expected the way it turned out.

Fortunately, it won't happen again. We may have lost amount of information, great folks but they are remembered and passed through on here in best possible way.

Glad you found the new site and welcome back.

It sucks to not be able to get access to the ads section again. And what if an introvert like me just wants to read and really doesnt like replying to people like what Im doing right now lol

Will you pussies stop crying about the classifieds for f***'s sake? Either participate in the forum and enjoy the benefits or pay your monthly subscription to Armslist. This kvetching about "being a member on the old board" nonsense is just asking for a free pass without trying to seem like a chump. I've been on every iteration of this board since it was a slow-ass BBS 20 years ago, ya didn't see me crying about classifieds access when the newest page started. Participate or kick rocks, pretty simple concept

A little blunter than I would put it, but I think you hit the nail on the head. It's people trying to make a withdrawal from the forum before even making any deposits. Participate a little more and you've got it. It's an extremely low barrier to entry, so if you can't make it happen, you definitely didn't want it bad enough.

When I first got on the forum, the restrictions on the classifieds were a little annoying, but now that I'm on the other side, I'm glad the restrictions are in place. This place would be a cesspool of scammy ads and low life asshats if everyone had instant access. When I deal with someone off of another site, I'm skeptical from the beginning of the transaction, I want to see their ID, and I want to meet on neutral turf so that they don't know where I live. When I deal with someone off this forum, I generally just give them my address and don't make them jump through the hoops. That's because it tends to be a tighter knit group of regulars.
