So. I literally had my CCW packet ready to ship out. Wife asked me to wait till next payday to send the check. Then I got sent out of town on for military for a month. Came home to the pandemic last weeek. Ugh.
Do you guys think it’s worth it to even bother to send it at this point? I’m sure they are swamped with packets now.

Definitely send it in anyway. They will process it when they get to it. The sooner you send it in the sooner you’ll get it back.

Why wouldn't you send it? I doubt they are seeing a massive increase in new applications. If anything, any delay would be caused by .gov employees who process the packets being sent home due to COVID-19 worries.

Send the packet in.

Send it now, the longer you wait to send it in the longer it’s going to be before you get it back

Absolutely send it. When I sent mine back in the day it was estimated approximately 4 months and I received it in a month

Send it! Took me about 2.5 weeks to get it back but this was before the pandemic. You will eventually receive it just will take time

Aside from gun purchase going about 5 minutes faster I fail to see the need any longer. Had one for years and last time I got the renewal notice I said pfttt.

just got a friendly reminder along with a application that mine is up in end of may. Going to try getting it in the mail to them this week.

I would just go down to DPS headquarters on 19th Ave and turn it in to the permit unit if they are open.

I sent mine in 2 weeks ago, received my new one 5 days later. So yes, send it in.I think its the opposite, they have nothing to do because everyone is stuck home.

I’ve found this is very common. However depending on your travel plans it can be helpful for those states that don’t recognize our constitutional right to carry to defend ourselves and family.

I keep mine due to family living in Nevada. However, there is a part of me that thinks if I did let it expire, I would start getting delayed and having to wait the three days. That would make me a very unhappy camper. Renewal is infrequent and cheap. Even if I never left the state again, I don't really see a reason to let it go since I already have it.

Definitely send it in. The longer you wait, the longer you wait. It is a nice little piece of plastic to have for whenever you want to pick up a gun. If you ever deal with private gun sales, people feel a little n=bit of security when you can show you have a CCW.

Just sent my renewal off yesterday. We shall see how long it takes. The wife and I keep ours because we travel a lot out of state and it comes in handy.
