Yeah, the "only" in front of "$2295" is a kicker, but the pistol sure does look nice.

Have way too many 1911s... sorta.
Of the single stacks, only two were 9mm-
A Tisas I bought off Buds and a Springfield Armory Custom Shop I got from SA.
Sold the SA after a single range trip. Just figured if I was going to have a single stack, might as well be in the Lord’s caliber.
I second the double stack or EDC X9. Own a couple of the EDC’s and an EDC X9L and the X9 is my daily carry. It’s just a great pistol.

Having purchased an Eb Brown EVO, I suggest you personally inspect, and hopefully fire, an EVO before purchase. While the EVO is commander-sized, the bobtail grip is difficult, for me, to accommodate. I own and shoot 1911s in 45ACP and 9MM. The EVO was my first experience with a bobtail and not to my liking. Probably better for concealment but just does not fit well in my hand as does a full size grip. Beautifully made and fires without concern any 9MM round.

I had a Kobra Carry, so I've tried the bobtail grip (and like it). Thanks!

It seems to me that an existing Springfield EMP might satisfy your Jones at a significantly lower price.

I know this is sacrilege but I have never cared for the 1911 style guns. I own a couple but have never really warmed up to them. It is a damn fine looking pistol. Then again, for that price it should be! :)

GLWTD,
Dan...

I've always felt the same, I've always thought of them as beautiful pieces of art. But I never bought one because I always felt that there were much more practical options, with higher capacity, better reliability and lower cost. But again this is from a guy who has never owned one.
