So I am on a couple different boards, as many of us are, and I am seeing more and more "buyers" popping up from Kalifornia.

I am not surprised, BUT FTF transfers to them is strictly verboten, illegal (unless they are now AZ residents w/proper ID), bad juju, call it what you will.

Not only are they moving here in droves, now they are trying to circumvent the law by attempting to purchase firearms from AZ sellers.

It is no longer "buyer beware", now it is "seller beware".

I have no problem with a refugee from Commiefornia buying some freedom. But they do need to learn how to go about it. If they can't bother to learn how to buy in the grey market, they don't deserve the freedom they seek.

I have seen a few buyers pop up that are CA residents who want to do a FTF in AZ, then return to CA.

I ain't doing it, no way, no how.

Prohibited possessor? AZ ID? Isnt that all you need to know or ask? Meeting in quartzite with cali plates? Now that would be a red flag.

I had friends beg to sell them a gun with an ffl xfer early on in the pandemic. Same friends that laughed because I had guns to begin with. I laughed and said good luck in your search.

Those morons dont know how bad they have it.

they are just bringing their bad shiat here, all want a bos, your left quevos, all have a fudd attitude, which i have no use for, fudge m

It’s like when I was stationed in Yuma back during the ‘92 riots. They were coming across in droves looking for weapons to protect themselves. Most didn’t even realize there was a waiting period in CA until they went to buy something.

Seriously uninformed voters/subjects...

HAHA everytime I see the word "shiat" I know it's rj...
Anyways... If some "outsider" who has property here, and resides for the winter, and has AZID, that's legal right?...Guess I'm asking the internet lawyers
I mean " if you have every reason to believe they're an AZ resident with AZ ID".....

If anything says NOT ARIZONA, they can go buy from someone else.
ATF was already checking into a pistol that I sold to a guy WITH an AZ D.L.

Few know that an AZ ID (not DL) does not comply with the requirements to qualify as a local buyer. Anyone can get one.
Only for an FFL. Private party, I just ask. I have no way of knowing if they're lying. If they don't look/ act crazy, I don't care.

I don't care either. I just ask.

Yeah how much is on the seller bs the buyer. If the seller has no reason to believe they are a prohibited possessor or non resident then they are good right? Ask the questions and you are covered right?

I flash my license at them, they flash me their license. I take the cash, they take the gun and away we go.

This has happened to me as well. Chandler PD showed up at my house asking about a gun i sold years ago. Of course they came in the middle of the day when most people should be at work. My wife told him she had no idea about any of that and did not let him in. He left a card. Out of curiosity i called him. I did not remember any details about selling it. Cop said you don't have to have records but you should. Started to lecture me and i stopped him and said i did nothing wrong i can't help you out. He agreed and thanked me for calling him back that was it. The person who had the gun i sold during a crime was a 17 YO kid so obviously not who i sold it too. I would not worry about it. You did your due diligence.

If it was taken as evidence, you can get it back after the sentencing, since you are the last registered owner. I had one stolen and got it back after 9 years from TPD. You have to follow up with them often, but you CAN get it back.
