Just a PSA. C2 Tactical Tempe and perhaps Scottsdale but I'm not sure, changed the way payment is handled.

In the past, you gave them your membership card or DL, then took targets and shot, then came out and paid.

Now you give them your membership card or DL, pay for your targets and go shoot.

Evidently a large number of the new shooters we've experienced would leave without paying and leave their card or DL there, come back and say they'd paid and thus avoid payment.

Good to know. I can't even remember the last time they charged me for targets at the Scottsdale location. I'm guessing that probably went away now, but we'll see.

Who, with any sense at all, would want the inconvenience of having to make a trip back to pick up their Id's just to avoid a dollar or two for targets. And how many would it take that would suffer that inconvenience to make C2 feel the need to change their policy. Especially since those targets probably only cost them 25 cents to purchase in mass.

I'm in a squad and have left my membership card there a few times. But then I didn't owe them any money either. I always bring my own paper plates for targets. The check-in/out lines are a total clusterfook there. A few times I just got tired of waiting to get my card back and figured they'd have it for me next time. Another time one of the employees was asking my about my P365 that she really wanted to try out (the only one they had for rent was out for repair), so I invited her out to my lane. She brought her own ammo and then handed me the rest of the box after she put two mags through. I tried to pay her for it, but she said she gets an employee discount and not to worry about it. This was before the prices got silly. I bought a box of Federal HST there once because I accidentally mixed up my mags and shot off my carry ammo. But I knew that wasn't gonna be free.

Damn it. I just went there yesterday with my BIL, and got a couple of those playing card targets. They didn’t make me pay up front. Since I always bring my own targets I completely forgot to pay for them when we left.
This post just reminded me. Guess I’m dropping by today to pay.

I don't have a membership anywhere but I go the other way .. I tell them I want say 4 targets so its on the bill and if I only use 3 I put it back at the end and let them know before we settle up. I am real funky about my honor and appearance and try not to do things that even look funky.

I got thinking about what you posted and came up with the answer.

At C2 they also allowed people to put ammo on the tab, so it wasn't just targets, it was ammo also in some cases, perhaps in a lot of cases.
