I'm a little embarrassed to admit it but I'm having a problem disassembling my Browning. So, before I take it to the Smith I want to pick this forums brains as I have done in the past.

Problem: I lock the slide back using the safety. I pull the slide stop pin out. I release the safety and the slide moves forward. All of these things--no problem. At this point the slide should come right off.
It doesn't. It stops at the end of the barrel as it does normally. No pin in it but it won't come off.

Is this a recoil spring problem jamming it up?

Feel free from keeping me from going to the Gun Smith.
Thanks

Maybe this can be of assistance.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

There are a couple of solutions to free up the slide, but since both risk damaging the guide rod, better the OP search the net for his own solution choice, rather than me helping him destroy it. Now he at least knows what to look for. Guide rods for P35's can at times be unobtainium.
