This will be interesting to watch. For those who don't know who he is is - he is a youtuber/guntuber with quite a following and isn't afraid to say whatever he wants.

In 18 hours his video announcement has gotten over 3/4 million views and ~30k comments. It was interesting this announcement came after he went before congress to testify on how inept the ATF is.

Watched it this morning. Good luck to him.

eta: Let’s Go Brandon

So did he win?

Well,...not yet. Brandon was able to deny the puke greater than 50%, so the two of them go to a run off election May28th.

While we would prefer the contest was closer,...there is still hope. If the other 30% who voted for neither of them decide they will back Brandon,...he's in. But will that happen? Not gonna lie,...that's gonna be tough, but it is doable.

It's going to be close. The theory goes that a good amount of people deliberately avoided voting for the incumbent (Gonzales) the first time around, so the vast majority of those votes will again vote for someone other than Gonzales.

Assuming that all the same people vote, Gonzales will keep his 45% as a base and Herrera will keep his 25% as a base... so Brandon will need to take almost all of the votes from the other candidates.

With all polling districts reporting, Tony Gonzalez APPEARS to have squeaked by, with less than 400 votes. That razor thin margin is within the parameters to allow Brandon Herrera to demand a recount. At this hour, there is no word yet on whether he will concede or demand the recount.

Regardless though,...that was an impressive showing for Brandon, considering Gonzales spent over 10X as much on the campaign.

The morning will tell us more.
