I knew they had a bad reputation before I sent in my order,...but I like to gamble,...sometimes,...except when I lose,...like this time.

Ordered 10 of these a couple weeks ago. I figured with ammo and guns and everything else getting into panic mode, at least mags hadn't become scarce or expensive yet, so lets get as many as we can before it's too late. Price was OK. Let's do it.

Package comes in the mail 10 days ago,...quantity of only 9. Double-checked my billing;...yep, paid for 10. Phucing Phagots.

So I send them an email explaining their error. No response. A few days later, I send another. Now I get an automated response telling me that customer service matters are dealt with in order as they gotten to and sending multiple emails will not assist.

Then the Commiefornia mag ban gets overturned.

So I'm checking BOTACH's website this morning,...and they are completely out of stock of the product they still owe me!!! Kok sukers!!!!

As you might imagine, my latest email,...which shall repeat daily until I am satisfied,...was peppered with an awful lot of saltiness.
 
That sucks and obviously its annoying and the one was missing, so they need to fix that. I've heard people have issues with them, but I've ordered from them at least a dozen times over the years and never had an issue.
 
I have used Botach for years with no issues -- until recently.
Ordered some Lancer clear mags. Figured it would be nice to be able to see rounds remaining. They sent translucent/smoke. Same as you, I sent email, no reply. Another email, no reply. Phone calls, left voicemail messages. Finally got an email reply. Very helpful, here is a prepaid mailing label to return the wrong ones; we will send you the right ones. They never sent the right ones.
Finally got a reply from a very nice person who said "Terribly sorry; I will get the mags to you right away."
Nothing.
More emails.
Finally, a reply: "Terribly sorry; mags will go out this week."
Nope.
More emails. Another reply: "Going out this week for sure."
That was last week. Waiting to see if the mags show up next week.
Meanwhile, I have gotten three emails from Botach asking "How was our customer service?"
I'll let you know when I get some!
 
I would initiate a chargeback for the amount with my credit card company. If you have them the chance to make it right and they blew you off looks like they made their bed and can lay in it. As it would appear the family that runs that company know all too well how defraud people...

Botach used to be decent but over the last couple years they are no longer pricing things competitively and have always had an issue with stuff being out of stock but not marking it that way on the website. Optics Planet on the other hand used to annoy the shit out of me(inventory system was always wrong) but has significantly improved to where they have become my go to for almost everything.
 
Botach was horrible when they were located in Cali. Just horrible. Tried twice and gave up.
Then they got busted selling to an underage kid.
Moved shop to LV and things with them were great. Gave them another chance a couple of years ago and over the next 2 years I placed multiple orders with them with 0 issues. Fast shipping and good pricing.
Then about theee months ago they decided to shit the bed again. Had two orders in that never shipped.
Called, emailed, rinse lather repeat.
After 1.5 months I finally got PayPal involved and miraculously I got a refund a couple days later.
Done with them.
I did order 25 of those Okay Gen 2 mags when Botach was shipping and love em. They are the best GI mag made and Botach was selling them at $9 each.
Sorry for your troubles. I’m done with the dbags for the foreseeable future.
 
Ordered 2 cans form them kept giving me the run around finally called them several times and got it done guess it was worth the bs got a oss 7.62 & .223 for $400 & $500
 
Did business with them in the pre internet days..... ONCE!
Double billed the CC .... delivered half of order.
Did a little background checking and found a history of ripoffs.
Can’t understand in this ‘ enlightened’ internet age of anyone doing business with these criminals. Of course if the price is too good to be true there will always be gamblers.... oops I mean ‘ buyers’ LOL

Never ordered from Botach due to their rep but Optics Planet is garbage. I've had orders cancelled for no reason and optics/parts arrived looking like someone used the product as a hacky sack. I should have known better but I bought an Aimpoint PRO from them last year because they had free 2 day shipping and I was impatient. They had NIB and Demo units for the same price, ordered the NIB (duh) and received a Demo. They couldn't possibly have mistook it for a NIB. Box was beat to crap and not sealed, no manual, inner padding was chewed up, battery was in the unit. It functioned and luckily the glass was ok, it zeroed fine but tossed the battery not knowing how much life it had left. Had a few light scratches on the outside but I said F it, my Dumb@$$ knew better and I deserved what I got. Never again, especially now that they charge tax it isn't even worth a gamble. :violin:

The more time passes, the more I appreciate the local shop. I'm willing to spend the extra bucks to support a small business and get to see what I am paying for. Rant off
 
I would get in touch with my credit card company and dispute the charge. No sense having to put up with Botach's nonsense
 
I have had really good luck with Botach, but yeah. If they shorted you a mag that was paid for, that sucks.
