I'm not 100% sure, but I think he got vaccinated after the first round.

I've heard one doctor say that you can only get covid once, and another say that you can get it multiple times. I don't know what they're basing those positions on, but how does someone know they got covid in the first place? Because you have a positive covid test? That doesn't necessarily prove anything with the accuracy rate. Also, doctors diagnose people as covid positive based on a collection of symptoms alone.
