Best Semi-Auto Shotgun

I can’t say it’s the best, but my Moss 930 has been a reliable home defense gun. I shoot it in matches every once in a while and have no complaints. Not too expensive either.

Just picked up a beretta 1301 tactical. Very impressed thus far. Just got the aridus magpul stock adapter, so will be adding that soon.

I have the same set up and have been running it in 3 gun. Awesome shotgun made awesomer by the magpul stock... though I probably need to get the loading port opened up.

I have to say my Remington 11/87. 26” VR barrel, with REM choke. I can load with a mix of low and high brass shells. Runs through them all. Great for quail, to deer.

After reading all of these, it's pretty clears there's really only a handful that you guys like. Good to know.

Both of my sons and I use Beretta A300s for trap / sporting clays/ skeet / dove. I use a Beretta 1301 combat with the Nordic extension and a Surefire light with pressure pad for unknown assholes in the wee hours of the morning.
So yeah...Beretta

Benelli M4
Remingtom1100 Tactical are great choices for home defense

Benelli SuperSport for whacking birds in the brush.. light weight easy to point/carry

I'll let you know when I get my new Tavor TS12 next week. 17 rounds of 2 3/4" in the tubes.

Have a great, gun carryin', Kenpo day

From what I've seen, the undisputed "best" tactical semi-auto shotgun is almost universally agreed to be the Benelli M4. The only knock on it is that the price makes it unaffordable for some and in those cases, the next best is the Beretta 1301 tactical. Beyond those two shotguns, there are a lot that compete for 3rd best.

For now anyway. Price isn't prohibitive, but does show you get what you pay for.

Like I said before, I'm waiting to put my new Tavor through it's paces, then, challenge a student of mine to see who can pump off 25rds the fastest, and he's got a VEPR-12 he brags on. And we'll start off with unloaded mags. :o
