In the market for a new Semi-Auto shotgun. Looking for some suggestions from you guys on your favorites that I should out on my comparison list before I make a decision.

What's your favorite color? It all depends on your favorite color.

Ask vague questions, get vague answers. What do you want this shotgun to do? Trap/Skeet? Dove hunting? Home Defense? 3-Gun? Look cool in your safe and impress your idiot friends when you go shoot shit in the desert and leave your shot up old microwaves in a wash?

I don't have any idiot friends. I don't shoot 3 gun and I don't shoot microwaves in the wash.
I do shoot trap and skeet , dove hunt , and I do it all with the same shotgun. It even works for home defense if I want.
I am not sure how cool it looks in the safe because the door is always closed.

When it comes to a semi auto shotgun I prefer the Remington 1100.

I like the Beretta 1301 Tactical recently.

I used to be a fan of the Remington 1100 but the newer Remington guns aren't worth buying anymore.
If you are an NRA instructor (even an RSO qualifies) you get a discount on Beretta guns.

I agree , the newer Remingtons aren't what they used to be , but an older 1100 that is in good condition is hard to beat.
I haven't bought a new shotgun in years. So I can't personally vouch for anything new.

I guess I'm old school I like the older
Remington model 1100
Remington model 11
Browning model A5

Imo it's a toss up between Benelli M2 and M4. I'm bias so I'll say M4, but the M2 is just as good.

just about anyone i have in my hand at the time, so subjective of a question, everyone will have a different idea or unit.
like asking if you like my shoes.

Benelli M4 hands down. I've met plenty of people who hate the price but never anyone that didn't like the shotgun.

Had a Beretta AL391 which is highly touted. Could not get used to the way it handled. Went back to the 1100 and have not missed it.

oh crap...

i didn't see that it had to be semi auto!!!

Good job seeing I snuck a pump in there

But Yes, that is why I had to switch.... After 150-200 rounds on the pump action shooting clays and my hands hurt and were swollen

I can’t say enough good things about my Mossberg 930spx. I reload for it, it eats Wally World special, high brass, low brass, reduced powder loads, bird, buck, you name it.

Me and my kids all shoot different semi-autos and have truly never had an issue with any of these:
Winchester SX3
Remington VersaMax
Tristar G2 (left-handed)
Tristar G2 (right-handed)

Only one that was purchased new was the VersaMax. The LH Tristar was bought as a test just to see what it was like (paid $300 I think) and since I had zero issues, I bought another with a shorter 26" barrel as a buddy/turkey gun. I'm a bird hunter and occasionally shoot clays before the season to shake the cobwebs out.

I have had high end and low end semi autos. But my Mossberg 930 SPX Flex Semi Automatic Shotgun 12 Ga and
Mossberg 930 Tactical 12 Gauge Semi Auto Shotgun are the best for the money.
There cheap and I haven't had one fail yet. Bought mine between 550 and 650.
