This is NOT good for the industry. No competition is a bad thing...pretty sure we have laws against it...not that they will do any good, in this case.

Looking forward to all the prices at Sportsman's to jump 15%-30%.

Great, now Cabellas, Bass Pro and Sportsman's all owned by the same outfit. What could possibly go wrong here

This really bums me out. When I lived East Mesa, I was in that store every weekend. The atmosphere and general employee attitude is FAR above that of Cabela's and Bass Pro.

Reminds me of when TWA was gobbled up by American Airlines. Sucks.

This is the cheapest way to expand your business without having to buy, build and train. Napa auto did the same thing in Tucson. The bought up Merle's auto. Gave Napa all the locations, people, etc and all they had to was lay out cash. Went' from 2 locations to 18.

I did a little research on the issue and there may be grounds for an anti-trust complaint, not just against the private equity group purchasing SW, but also against Vista Outdoor for controlling so much of the ammunition market.

This makes things easier for our enemies.

Now, instead of needing to attack several corporations, they need to attack only one.

This is what happens to a lot of good folks when these mergers take place

Exactly sir. Every single thing is heading toward the inability to buy and feed your self defense weapons. All it takes is a hostile takeover and just like that it's more expensive and harder if not impossible for us serfs.

This is gonna turn into another "Freedom Group" debacle. They already f-ed up gun companies by doing stuff like this now they'll mess up ammo and stores the same way.

All you need is the board to go "Dicks" and become woke and its all over for guns and ammo for what was all three outlets.

I HATE sportsmans warehouse but still think this is an awful turn for gunnies.

Just like nfa make it $$$ and only those really well off can afford it. Referring to full auto.
They can't take them so playing the long game. As previously stated make it so costly that it's not as easily accessible affordable for everyday citizens.

That's why they like to consolidate into large corporations. They will do what they are told and are much easier to sue.

These big Corps. don’t give one phuk about the ramifications of their actions on the little guy, spent many a Saturday wandering the store in Sidney, never dreamed Cabelas would explode into the mega Corp. that it did, on one hand I’m pissed at Cabelas for selling out, but it’s the way of the world I guess?
