AZGFD warns of steel spikes in trails in Catalinas

Someone is planting steel spikes in trails in the Catalina Mountains.
They were found in the Edwin Road and Charouleau Gap Trail area.
If anyone is going off roading , horse riding or hiking be careful.
I would sure like to catch whoever is doing this.

Again? Seems to happen every couple years. Some of those things would put a hurt on anyone or anything that stepped on one.
 
Just another one of those "peaceful wilderness lovers" trying to prevent those nasty ATV's on the trails. I put them right up there with the so-called "bowhunters" and "guides" who pour bleach into waterholes right before the early season to force elk to go somewhere else.

I have never heard of that.
I would hate to think of what I might do if I caught someone pouring bleach into a water hole. 
 
It was pretty common back in the late 80's/early 90's. There were a couple of tanks in 6A North that you actually smell the clorox when downwind.
