Bah,...I can spend half that much out here just north of Surprise, have 4 times the acreage and have a better house without nearby neighbors poking their noses in my business. A larger garage and a larger range.

I know it sounds like sour grapes because I can't afford the place but I'd have to agree with the poster who asked why be in town? Even the article stated "Why would I want to live in Gilbert, AZ in the middle of urban sprawl for $20 million" and then went on to try to sell the place.

It would be a lot of fun to own, however, but I'd rather build my own compound to suit my own particular needs out in the boonies. So, If I had the cubic money for a compound with a killer house it'd be out of town. My big priority would be a huge shop to work on cars/trucks along with a huge garage/man cave to display a car collection. Not a dumb go-cart track plus many other things.

I agree with the "if I had that kind of money I would design and build to my specs" thought. I had seen this listing earlier and also though what others have said about maintenance and upkeep. Yes, if you can afford that you have people doing the chores, but there are better designs you could accomplish with more fortification and less maintenance.
