What two "consenting" adults do in their life is their business, and people who believe otherwise should check their patriotism at the door. I don't see anything in the Constitution that demands hetero activity, so, I couldn't give a rat's ass if they're doing that. Now, if said person wants special privileges and rights because of their activities, then shut 'em down, and fast. 14th amendment has failed us already in the courts with LEOSA, ADA, and Wickard V. Filburn, it's time to stop the encroachment and shift back. I don't care if a gay couple wants to protect their maryjane stash with "assault weapons" as long as they choose the same for others.

Would anybody pay any attention if some guy was on a Zoom conference when his (much younger) girlfriend walked into the room wearing her bikini, and started to take her top off? Yeah, probably, because that would be funny. If the guy said "Oh, that young woman is my traveling companion, there's nothing going on," would everybody laugh and roll their eyes? Yeah, probably, because that would be funny.
If this guy believes there's nothing wrong with having a 24-year-old boyfriend (and if that's what he's into, good for him), then why is he denying it? "Traveling companion," right, that's the ticket.
