Well now this ought to be an exciting week, see how many rights get trampled this week, due to a scam of great proportion, and the wool has been lifted off of businesses that may or may not survive.
chatted with a couple biz owners yesterday, several having issues getting employees to come to work, some claim the plague fright, but most i suspect really enjoy the no worky but big unemployment checks, even had one of our guys call in, "his wife thinks he should stay home till this cures itself" coming from a guy who has been working all along since it began and now............well what can i say

happy days, may it be as successful as one can hope for

Yep, most people will not want to go back to work when you can make 20 bucks and hour sleeping in and laying on the couch. It'll be intersting to see how all the re-openings go for sure. I hope alot of the businesses can stay afloat but time will tell. I have a good backlog of work but have definitely seen some customers pull the plug on remodels so far.
 
I'm going out to stimulate the small businesses a bit today. Mrs. Flash goes to the hairdresser, I get a haircut and we both get lunch in a restaurant.
 
My business has been operating the whole time and my employees seem to have been grateful and all have been loyal throughout this great scamdemic. But i have heard from several people i know outside of work that like the 800.00 a week unemployment better than working. Hope that works out for them when that runs out. I am so sick of the constant fearmongering and media blitz. Hopefully this week goes well and we can build on it.
 
Yup, I have family with employees that say they don’t want to come back yet...due to unemployment but say it’s due to “safety issues”. They are trying to figure out how to “let those employees go” and replace them with ones that don’t want to milk the system.

Sad situation....
 
The Feds supplement the state unemployment by up to 600.00 a week i think. I am not sure how long its supposed to last. I know some are getting more from unemployment than they made working. If your job is available it should be cancelled immediately in my opinion. Should be no option to pass on the job to keep getting the government money. But what do i know i am not unemployed.
 
According to the "experts" on fake news this morning, anyone that goes out to non-essential businesses this week are all GOING TO F***ing DIE!!!!! Be scared!!!!
 
I have never collected unemployment , but I thought if you made any extra money while collecting unemployment , you were supposed to report it and your unemployment was adjusted accordingly.

I think the whole thing stinks and it does nothing but make people not want to go back to work.

I think anyone collecting the $600 a week should not be eligible for unemployment and I think anyone collecting unemployment should not be eligible for the extra $600.
 
Was a bit surprised this am. There was little to no traffic again. That is not a good sign. But tomorrow I will be doing what Flash is doing, Definitely will be getting a hair cut, foillowed by some shopping locally for a red dot optic for my Sig. Also seen that Tombstone has in stock SW EZ 9's. Been thinking about buying one. Plus I need a BT headphone for my TV. I'm sure it will be busy.
 
Ole gal and i went and got some lab work done, then went to a sit down eatery and pigged out. sopped up the service, and glad for it, aw, no more drive thru eating for a while, hope to see my ole watering hole to open, as im jonesing for some sea food and sushi, and copious amounts of alcohol, , where we had breakfast was great, every other table so to speak, servers were great as was their "protocol" or what ever its supposed to be,
hopefully it goes well for most bizes to get up and going,

we too have been open the whole time and boys have been getting their 40, easily, but was surprised to have a employee today call in and bail on us, looking to hire a couple more if we can.

A bit more people and traffic than past month.

One of my other job is helping customers online, I'd say about 95% are quarantining across the country. They're all antic and ready to go back out.

Well, Mrs. Flash got her hair done, I got a haircut and we both had a Baja Burger, smash fries and a big ol' orange drink.

So, we're gonna die? Do I have time for another beer? :whistle:
 
I haven't stopped doing anything since this all started. As a matter of fact, I believe I have given more of my money to Ace Hardware in AJ just working on my house.
