Anyone else following this case? If printing on metal is a machine gun where do they draw the line?

The law says "readily convertible" and by the ATF's own testimony it took them 45 minutes to cut them out. Hardly readily IMO.

Plus the fact that that part only works in a specific AR, that was discontinued in the 60's, and requires other parts to make the conversion work.

The DEFCAD decision may help the defense. Information is protected by the 1st Amendment. Now, he may have trouble because he made a profit, where DEFCAD files were free.

According to the ATF yeah.. They wrote their own rules daily

I'd probably wouldn't advertise anything that ATF may get involved without going through process that would be approved. It would be hassle having to deal with ATF. Much easier to do it for family/friends
