Add chlorine pucks to the ever growing list of shortage items.

I stopped in at Leslie's Pools by my house and the manager said that between the fire at the plant in the article above and COVID reducing capacity at other plants it is really happening. If you have a pool you may want to grab a bucket or two of chlorine pucks while you can.

Thanks for the heads up. I use liquid chlorine but might not be bad to pick up some pucks for storage just in case since they will last a long while. Liquid chlorine is affected by shelf life and storage Conditions so it’s hard to keep too much of it in hand at a time

"I am not a chlorine tab flipper!!!!" says the hotdog cart douche as he sits in his fold up chair waiting for Leslie's Pool Supply to open.....

"And if you believe that, I've got some oceanfront property here in Arizona I'd like to sell you. :D"

I had an instructor that demonsrated that technique in infantry training school. Most of us thought he was serious.

Or, failing that, convert to a salt water pool and avoid chlorine tablets forever.

Salt pools suck ass. The warmer the water the less effective they work AND your pool water is no longer a potable source.

Well, I've had one for almost 16 years, the chlorine levels are as they should be all the time, and it's not too far from potable either. All the neighborhood birds drink from it and they aren't dead.

However, a solar still eliminates the salt nicely. A sun Oven is perfect for the chore.
