Fellow Shooters!
The National Trophy Rifle Matches are run by the Civilian Marksmanship Program ( http://thecmp.org/ ) at Camp Perry OH, where they have been held since 1907. Five days of shooting the most prestigious matches in the US.
There were 7 Juniors and at least 10 adults from Arizona shooting in the matches and a handful of non-shooting coaches and parents.
There were two days of individual matches and three days of team matches, and over 1000 shooters from all over the US!
The President's Match
The National Trophy Individual Match
Two Double team matches (one for adult teams, one for junior teams)
National Trophy Team Match
and
National Trophy Individual Team Match.
These are all CMP style High Power Rifle Matches fired with the AR-15 service rifle at 200, 300 and 600 yards, standing, sitting and prone, slow fire and rapid fire.
A couple of Arizonans qualified in the top 100 of the President's Match and the top 10% of the NTI, very prestigious matchs rankings.
I have written up an "after action report" here:

and a lot of photos are posted here:

We need more shooters on the state team!
If any of you are interested in NRA/CMP style High Power Rifle Competition, we shoot it regularly at PRGC, Rio Salado, Ben Avery, Tucson and a few smaller shoots!
We will have a beginners' class on Sunday 27-Oct at Rio Salado! This consists of half a day of classroom and half a day on the line with one-on-one coaching firing a full CMP style match.

We will also start and be coaching a "development team" to take entry level adult competition shooters and turn them into Expert Class shooters ready for Camp Perry 2020!
The Junior Team will be recruiting too!
Post, IM or email [email protected] for more information!
