AR15 barrels

I havent personally noticed much difference in accuracy stainless vs blued though I would defer to Poole on that, he has much more competitive knowledge than I. I do prefer white oak or criterion barrels to others however and bull over target if I am shooting small.

As usual what is the purpose behind the gun? Even then, manufacturing standards, twist, rifling profile, barrel profile and QC matter more then material.

Ok let me be more specific........a gun just for the range. Not bench rest shooting. No Competitive shooting. Just a military profile AR barrel. To be exact a standard AR 15 M4 military issued rifle barrel. No Delta, SAS, SF special purpose Elite, navy seal one off barreled AR15's

I want to know with that in mind replacing my Std AR15 M4 1 in 7 twist 14.5 inch military profile barrel, would u go stainless or back to issue barrel and why.
Is that good enough or do u guys want more specifics?

I do a little building. Many years ago I researched the net for the simple answer, of, which did people prefer. I found a 45 vs 50 percent positive reviews for Stainless Steel Barrels,... so, that is the direction I went, even with my latest, a factory 30-06sprg. bolt gun.
