App To Help Save Money On Gas

Upside is an app I use at Cilcle K when fueling up. Unfortunately other gas stations aren't in the system.

Saved .$25 a gallon today. Savings vary day by day and station by station.

Been using it for a few years. Here's a screen shot of today.

I just filled up at a Circle K in Mesa for $4.18/gallon.

If you shop with Fry's, you can game their fuel points system and regularly get $0.20-$0.50 off per gallon. They regularly have 4x Fuel Points promotions on gift card purchases...and I regularly buy gift cards for place I always shop at...Starbucks, Home Depot, etc. Buying a $25 gift card gets you a $0.10 per gallon discount.
I used to buy Fry's gift cards, get the 4x fuel points, and then turn around and immediately use the gift card for groceries...but they closed that loophole.

This is the way. I can typically hit $1 off twice a month. This is especially helpful with diesel since they give you a 35gallon limit. That's a solid 35bucks off a fill up. I have since parked the diesel and drive a beater honda civic to save $100 per week on fuel.

I will check out this app. Nothing more annoying then the way price changes from station to station. Its not uncommon to see swings of .50cents from where I work to where I live.

Upside is mainly circle K, but also has some others like conoco, 76, and marathon. It’s really helpful on road trips because you can get 25 cents or so per gallon at every stop along the way.

Yep. Get Fry's fuel points and the apps discount at Circle K at the same time.

I think you are reading a little too deep into my statement...there is no ill intent in my quoted sentence. I know some of the members here like to act like 16 year old girls in high school and bicker and argue over nothing....I'm not one of them.

When my YJ's tank is under a 1/4 I hit Fry's for a buck off and have 4 5gal jugs in the back. Been doing that for many years. Save35.00 for important items!
