Just curious if anyone had some knowledge on PCP air rifles.

I’ve seen some neat things out there but don’t know anything. Maybe what I want isn’t possible.

Looking for something to shoot sneaky quiet but also will be extremely accurate.

I’d like a 25 or even 30cal.

If possible….full auto just for silly fun.

I have a .22 PCP. Despite how quiet the report is, it still makes a decent amount of noise from the pellet impact. I don't know what your idea of sneak quiet is, but I hear the larger calibers are even louder.

Thread with some good info.

Thanks. I’ll keep that in mind.

Right now I’m still very much just learning.

I have several, including a FX Impact in .30 caliber. They’re expensive, and you need a way to charge them. They run at 3600 psi so a hand pump will take forever. But once past the initial expense they are fun, and practical. With standard pellets mine will drop a coyote at 80 yards with no more sound than snapping your finger. That is a huge advantage if you have a lot of neighbors, or live in a jurisdiction that doesn’t allow shooting.

This is precisely my needs.

Did you go with a tank to fill or a compressor?

Both. The tanks are good if you have a source that can fill them to 4500 psi but I couldn’t find one around Tucson so I bought a Daystate compressor from Airguns of Arizona. I don’t have to run it often, but a side benefit is the model I bought is fully filtered and I can fill my scuba tanks with it as well.

Oh I’ve got a buddy I scuba dive with. Never thought of using his compressor.

Looks like I’m taking a trip to AGA. My wallet is already shaking. Lol

I have a .177 Murader. Started with the bicycle style pump. Man was it a work out, about 100 pumps to go from 2000-3000psi. About stroked out my father in law.

Use a Scuba tank now.
