This is evidence that you cannot be allowed to be "captured" by the enemy. If you get surrounded by Antifa,...that is sufficient grounds to believe you are imminently about to experience severe bodily harm.

Bang Bang

slippery slope, a handgun with a high cap mag would have worked well to eliminate immediate threats, but in the heat of the moment, it is possible that retreating offenders could have been targeted by a defender as well, which would surely be filmed.

if a would be attacker was shot retreating, the imminent threat does not exist, and the victim would now be the one held liable.

shitty times we are living in.

Sometimes, it comes down to getting arrested, tried, convicted and imprisoned for shooting a "peaceful protester," and getting your head kicked.
An unfortunate and unpleasant choice, but not really a difficult one.

UPDATE on the pickup driver who dragged the Antifa motorcycle:

https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/08/violent-antifa-blm-keep-showing-home-driver-attacked-may-one-facing-charges/

Jordan Hollingsworth was attacked by Antifa and Black Lives Matter rioters in Portland on August 5th. Video of the incident went viral, as he dragged the motorcycle they had used to attempt to barricade his vehicle for 12 blocks.
*
According to an exclusive report from the Nationalist Review, the rioters also stole paperwork from the man’s car during the incident — which provided them with his home address.

In the days following the incident, the militants showed up at Hollingsworth’s home dumped a massive amount of tree logs on his driveway to prevent him from being able to use it, smashed the windows of his house, and made death threats against him. It wasn’t enough for them that they totaled his car and impeded his ability to work, they also wanted him to feel unsafe at home.

The mother explained that he is now completely out of work due to the destruction of the vehicle.

“Jordans truck was a complete loss and he is now without transportation. Not only was his truck his everyday driver, it was also his work truck. This unfortunate chain of events has completely put him out of work. Not only does he need a decent and reliable vehicle, there are also repairs needed at home now,” the mother said.

Those who wish to help contribute to getting him a new truck can do so here. https://www.gofundme.com/f/rioters-...urce=customer&utm_campaign=p_lico+share-sheet.

Additionally, NR reports that there is a chance Hollingsworth could face charges for defending himself.

I get the whole "it's really difficult to use a rifle in close quarters" thing, you'd have to be a moron to not understand that. But, there are so many choices now that are hybrids (modern sporting pistols, which are really just short barreled rifles) and rifles like a Mini 14 with a folding stock or .30 carbine with a folding stock (like I have) that take 30 round mags, that people here seem to be forgetting about. WTF?

AR at home makes sense, but would not have been a good choice in the vehicle, IMHO
I get that you want to share your opinion, but in my humble opinion also, I will disregard other opinions as the only opinion that matters is my own, because it actually still does make sense.

fair enough, you think that an AR would have been the ideal weapon of choice for this fella in the truck.

I disagree. Manipulating a rifle in very close quarters, such as the cab of his truck, while trying to escape danger, would be less manageable/effective (for me atleast) than a pistol with a high cap mag.

each to his own, we all have our opinions, and maybe you are THAT good with your AR. who knows...

Whatever happened to avoid confrontations, you know the crap is happening, why dive right in the middle of it?

OK, I might be slow but your disagreement in the above certainly implies you're a proponent of using an AR in your vehicle for defense. It also appears that you feel comfortable disregarding the opinions of others and only your egotism only allows room for your opinion.

Ignoring your arrogance, it's obvious you've never fielded a long gun in a vehicle. Dash mounted, ready to go ARs and Shotguns are NOT meant for and probably the worst option for attempting to protect occupants inside a vehicle. I certainly hope your egocentric opinion is not altered by a live-fire scenario.

If only they could see that they were being ignored, and I never click and have the notifications turned off so trolls cannot even bait their targeted person.

The only opinions based on my first hand experience that matters here is my own, not from space shuttle door gunners and walter mitty's bloviating from the hip.

Stay in your lanes and I will stay in mine. I never suggested or told anyone what to do or what not bring or to bring, have the common decency to give that same respect back. Besides, if I actually wanted advice, I would actually ask for it. I never did. Yet I'm the guy with the attitude, LMAO (projection oh projection).

There are better things to worry about then some person that lives rent free inside of your heads and what they think or mentioning what tool to have nearby. Be better then that

Priceless..
Oh.. it's better "THAN" that... grammar advice... you don't have to take it... just sayin'

absolutely...now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

You get to share your opinion because everyone is supposed to believe that your opinion is based on your "first hand experience" while you assume everyone else is just a keyboard commando, or let me get it accurate, "space shuttle door gunners"

Well you know the old saying:

Opinions are like A-Holes, everyone has one, I guess you consider yourself a perfect A-Hole so no other opinions are needed or allowed. Based on your "first hand experience" of course.

There is another old saying about: ASSuming..... :? :? :? ......You got part of it right.

Then there is a third old saying that applies to:
"Not once did I mention anything about an AR and that guy in the truck."

but you did say:
"It's why my daily risk assessments for driving now include at the minimum, an AR15 with a D60 drum and barrier blind 64 grain gold dots."

The third old saying is you're as full of crap as a Thanksgiving turkey. Yeah I said turkey! :D :D :D

it's been made apparent that the only well informed from past BTDT experiences opinion that matters is my own.
you were confronted by an angry racist mob while in your POV and defended yourself with your personal "AR15 with a D60 drum and barrier blind 64 grain gold dots"?

f*ck...I am humbled.

by all means, carry on...
