There's not a single law on the books that differentiates between firearms in self defense situations. If you were justified to defend yourself with a 22LR, then you were justified to defend yourself with a 50 cal. Shooting someone with a single-shot derringer requires no less justification than shooting someone with an AR and a 60 round drum. It's all deadly physical force. This idea that you should only carry a 9mm with factory loaded ammo or you'll be branded a cold-blooded killer is absolutely false.
