Another.... Suppressor question

So, I am looking at the Bogo through silencer central and I have them in my cart...
Then it adds ink and a print card in the cart?

This is my first suppressor, but I know I need to do fingerprints, I just didn't expect to do them myself.

I have heard you can do them digitally but I have no clue where to try.

Anyone know of places for digital prints for a no or low price? I am out in San tan valley so I'm not gonna drive to Goodyear or anything like that, I less that's the only place... In which case I guess I'll fill up the truck w gas before I go.

And follow up question... What do I do with the print card once I get it? And/or if I submit it, can I submit the card digitally also?

I have used SilencerShop kiosk @ Scottsdale gun club it was super easy and it basically one stop shop fingerprints pictures and the rest is forms you just sign digitally and done

Step 1: Create a SilencerShop account
Step 2: go to any LGS with a SilencerShop kiosk and upload your prints
Step 3: Pay ~$50 to SilencerShop and they will FedEx physical print cards with your prints printed on them
Step 4: Scan your print cards in high quality
Step 5: Upload the digital scan of your prints to a service that converts them to the proper .eft format

Alternately, you can just go to a local place that will take your prints and do the scanning & .eft file conversion for you but I found it easier to use the SilencerShop kiosk and do steps 3-5 on my own time from my own computer. Bonus that SilencerShop is a very convenient way to spend money.

You’re better off purchasing a better suppressor through Silencer Shop (and using thier one stop shop kiosk) than getting a free 22 can from Silencer Central. They make OK suppressors, but no where near the best.

For fingerprints, google "Live Scan". There is usually a UPS Store near you that offers it. They can print out a fingerprint card or give you the digital .ETF file

Once it’s done, you can get that data on a thumb drive and use it on all the NFA items you get in the future.
Quietm4 is right, you spend the same tax on a cheap suppressor as a real good one so get a good one.

Almost every shop that sells suppressors has a Silencer Shop kiosk. So while having the .etf to submit your own eForms is great, I've only used my .etf for SBRs and always used the Silencer Shop process for suppressors.

Note to those who haven't done it before, but even if you buy something from a shop's inventory, they still generally use Silencer Shop for generating/certifying/submitting the F4. It makes the process faster and I've had some approvals come back in less than 48 hours. Shops may charge extra if you don't go through SS since it takes more time.

Go w the old fashioned fingerprints and avoid the ones at silencer shop.

Rationale:
The gov’ment is going to lose your prints and when they do they will just say “whoopsie”


The private sector won’t lose your prints, the penalty is far too high, the gov will shut them down for losing records.

A little more work but en the end the gov’ment employees will do their thing and f*** it all up.

Is your contention that the federal government is somehow MORE trustworthy when it comes to protecting the data of it's citizens? The IRS had a large data breach earlier this year.

No. I’m suggesting the gov’ment WILL lose your info and not care. If the private sector lost a gun, suppressor or even filled out paperwork incorrectly it would be punished.

The is a form the FFL fills out and sends in...and that's about it. Sure, it might trigger an audit, but that was going to happen anyways, every 2-3 years or so.

Was able to do all the pre setup paperwork at The Shooting Range behind HD on power/Rittenhouse. Did the digital prints, took the photo, setup the Silencershop account on their kiosk, and setup my ATF efile account all on site.

While I was setting stuff up, another customer came in to pick up his suppressor and he said it took 72 hours to get back.

Just gotta decide which one I want now

I've done 1x SBR (CZ 452 Scout) and 1x SBS (Remington 870) since the wait times started being reasonable back in mid March; 4 days for the SBR and 6 days for the SBS (really 4, but I'm counting the weekend). I wish I needed a new suppressor, but I'm all set at the moment with the 14 that I have.

SBR a CZ452? That is quite a unique option for SBR?

And 14 suppressors?!? Frikkin rockstar!

I haven't even shot a suppressed firearm yet, maybe been around a few at a range but usually from a distance. So I've kinda just been relying on YouTube for reviews.

Did my pictures at Walgreens. Fingerprints at UPS shop both within 3miles from my home. Once the paperwork was submitted it took 2 days for the suppressor for my SR25 to be approved.
