Today is the day she gets appointed to the SCt. Unless the Marxists win the presidency and the Senate and then pack the court, she will be the extra vote needed to accept 2A cases and decide them according to the Constitution.

I propose we all have some sort of celebration today. I have decided to dine on Tom's BBQ and a real sugar Coca Cola.

What are your celebration plans? Mag dump into the sky? (Nah, too expensive.)

Of all Trump's accomplishments, appointing three SCt justices is the greatest.

Tom's BBQ: ribs, brisket, slaw, beans & rice, roll. Plus Mexican Coca Cola with real sugar.

Agreed. The main reason I voted for Trump in 2016 was so that he, not Hillary, would fill Supreme Court vacancies. Even if Trump loses this election (God forbid!), he has accomplished his most important objective, saving the Supreme Court. (And with McConnell's help, saving the lower courts while he was at it.) For that alone, he is one of our greatest presidents.
If he does lose, I am hoping that Clarence Thomas announces his retirement, and Trump appoints his much younger successor (hand-picked by Thomas), and McConnell rams that person through before inauguration day, over the wails and screams of the Democrats, because what the hell, they have the votes.

Speaking of celebrations, I shot at Ben Avery this morning. There were four of us. We began our practice session by firing a four-gun salute to Justice Barrett.
