I'm predicting that ammo prices will be back in order by fall 2021, that's what I think. I don't think it will gat as low as .20 a round for 9mm (example), but it will come back down to close to that. I'm not really worried about the biden admin really doing much to ammo prices/regulation.

Never know. There's a thousand variables involved. Take a look at the ridiculous twitchiness of the stock market, and what happened with toilet paper last year. People are panicky and fickle creatures.

You are correct, multiple variables, but I see the major variables going away by fall.

Perhaps prices are coming down because people aren’t paying a buck a round for 9mm. If you have a stockpile, you aren’t buying, if you just have a couple boxes, then those prices seem crazy and they’ll just sit on their small stash and not go shooting. Hopefully we’ll see primers show back up and those prices fall as well.

Can't tell if ammo prices near me are coming down since most gun shop shelves are still pretty bare.

Completely bare here. OP is delusional.

C2 Tactical in Tempe has ammo and appears to get more every week.

So one retailer appears to be getting more ammo in the Phoenix area, but are the prices coming down there? The online retailers I've looked at this morning (that have ammo) look worse on the price.

Seems like availability might be going up slightly(people have stopped buying it so fast) and price inflation seems to have stabilized a bit.

I don't know as I don't buy anything but rimfire and not even that in a long time.

The only price at C2 I do know is because they have a big sign and it's for .223 @ 80¢/round in 500 round or 1,000 round boxes.

I don’t buy ammo but based on the notifications on discord the price does seem to be trending down. For plinking 9mm, $1+/round doesn’t seem to be sustainable anymore. At 80 cents a round it sticks around for a while. At 50 cents a round it flies off the shelf. The notifications come through almost daily, so it is out there.

If "normal" ever returns, it's certainly going to take it's good old time getting here. There's a whole lotta folks that aren't going to get caught short after this one ever again, and that's going to pressure demand until they have a "lifetime's supply" socked away..

Think so? I'd be willing to bet that there will be a ton of folks caught unawares the next time.

Why do I think that? Because this is the 4th shortage and people didn't learn from the first 3, so why should they learn from the 4th?

Plus the fact that few of them could afford to put away a lifetime supply.

Some guys have to touch the electric fence more times than others to get the point. I don't think everyone will be more prepared, but an awful lot more will be than every other time. This time just seems more demonstrative than previous shortages, especially the choruses of "I don't feel sorry for those people, yada, yada, etc. to rub it in. All that is, of course, if it actually ever does get back to normal.

Maybe we'll get lucky and a whole bunch of idiots bought up all the could and when the prices go down will be trying to unload it, not needing that much or at all.

What about reloading supplies such as bullets, primers and powder. Are they just as scarce? I don’t live close to any gun stores out here in Waddell.
