Vodka would be better for you to drink... as a sanitizer for COVID19... not so much. Vodka is typically 80 proof, which means it's only 40 percent alcohol. That's not high enough to effectively kill microbes.

Water dog, where did you come from??
I've been preaching that forever, nobody listens. The picture thread will allow people to even see what others have.

As if you all are going to get a chance to use it.

SHTF, most of you will be dead within a week. For as long as I have been reading and posting in gun forums, there have been people who got to let everyone know they got lots of guns and ammo forts.

Just more dick measuring.

For sure the government has been watching you and making note of where you live and will take it when it serves their agenda. And for sure there are people (former shooter/door kicker military, figuring out where you live. SHTF, they will get together and take what they need.

Yeah, you will resist with your tricked out AR and that is when you will get dead.

I sit in the corner and wait.

Nobody listens for the typical human reasons. Ego and ignorance being the most popular. Our country is populated by pseudo men. Look around, we see it everyday. Wienie boys buy fast cars and wreck them the same day. They buy expensive tricked out guns and they can't hit s*** with. They can't change a f*** tire or peel an apple with a pocket knife. They never climbed to the top of a tree when they were 7, they never had to dig a grave for the best dog in the world. And some are given positions of power for no other reason than the ability to remain attached to the money mans ass.
I would add never been paddled by a parent as a child.
Never been told no

Went to the east valley today to meet a guy about some stuff...stopped by Bass Pro just to see what was up. Line of people out front. They're only allowing 50 people into the store at a time, one or two people leave...they let that many people enter. An employee told me it only took about 15 minutes to wait to get in, so I did...just to see what the place looked like.

Texted a buddy who I was also going to visit, since I was on that side of town, asked him if he needed any ammo. He said he could maybe use a little 9mm. Just a box or two...for grins. There are signs everywhere..."Only 500 rounds of all ammo combined, can be purchased. If you buy a container that is larger than 500 rounds (which I doubt they still have any), then that's it for that visit".

So, I look at the nearly bare ammo shelf, when an employee asks if he can help me. He then walks me over to all the 9mm they have left...maybe 1 or 2K of Herter's and Winchester. I was surprised the prices seemed "normal". So, I picked up a 100 round box of Herter's for my buddy, for $17.49, minus military discount. Most everyone else seems to be buying the limit...if they can find what they want.

So, about 15 minutes after I leave there, my buddy texts me, and says not to bother...he doesn't really need it. I drive over to his place, told him he didn't have to buy it if he didn't want it, but if he wanted it...I'd sell it to him for $10. So, he bought it. I'm just a nice guy like that. Sometimes.

“Hoarding” or not, I have to say I’m a little disappointed to see some long-time members throwing their hat into the ring of price gouging assholes that was mostly made up of new guys, until recently... I generally try to refrain from such language, but it really is fitting in circumstances like this, IMO. This place really isn’t the place it once was. :(

I don't think anyone considers it as "hoarding" if you've been accumulating it over time, when things were relatively "normal". It becomes hoarding when someone goes nuts, and buys everything they can get their hands on...because of some perceived "shortage"...or imminent shortage.

And, I don't think most here even really care, that much...if someone is buying a ton of ammo, right now...*IF* they're buying it for their own use. I believe what is annoying people, are the "flippers", who see a "crisis" (whether real or imagined) as an opportunity to stick it to others, by reselling at outrageous prices.

I'm not hoarding. I have 32,000 rounds of .22 LR. I had a bit more than that the last time .22 ammo got expensive...and I didn't sell any then, and I'm not selling any now. I like to have enough ammo to last the rest of my life...if for some reason, I suddenly can't acquire anymore. That's easier to accomplish once you're on the "downslope"...and coasting toward the finish line, than it would have been 20 or 30 years ago!

My philosophy exactly.
