Serbia's President just announced that weapon and ammo exports have been suspended due to fears of aggression by neighboring Kosovo may break out into war, saying that "everything has to be ready".

Maybe this will fizzle out and hostilities will not occur, and if so, the exports will resume at some point. But for now, Zastava rifles and Prvi Partizan (PPU) ammo are ixnay.

It's been about 20 years since they had a war so I guess they are due. Two neighbors who really hate each other.

I always found it so funny during the last 25 years how, if you asked folks there on either side, they would always say the war is over and they all get along now and there's no more hate and everybody is a neighbor,...all the while telling their children how those guys over there raped your grandma and killed your uncle and want to kill you.

How did anyone ever buy that BS about the war being over? It was always just on "pause". Those things don't actually end until the other side is wiped out.

Should be stated that the "ban" is for 30 days to bolster the Serbian military. After the 30 days is up they will determine whether they need another period of export halt or open exports again.
